New Agent Program: Start Your Real Estate Career at BreakThru

Passing the Florida exam teaches you the law. It does not teach you how to price a home, run a buyer consultation or keep a deal together after inspection. The first year is where most new agents leave the business, and almost always for the same two reasons: no clients and no guidance.

A Structured First Ninety Days

New agents follow a path in the BreakThru Academy: contracts and disclosures, pricing from closed sales, the buyer consultation, the listing presentation, showing and offer etiquette, and the technology platform. Lessons are on demand with quizzes, and live classes cover what is changing in the market. You are not handed a login and wished luck.

Contract Review Before Anything Goes Out

A broker reviews your first contracts, addenda and counteroffers before they are sent. Mistakes on a Florida as-is contract are expensive for a client and for a new agent's reputation; the review is how you learn the forms on real deals without learning them the hard way.

Your First Clients

You build a sphere from day one, and the portal gives you the tools for it: a branded agent page, flyers, social posts, an open house sign-in tool that feeds your CRM. As you complete training and show you respond quickly, you become eligible for website inquiries, starting with the kinds that teach fastest: rentals, open house visitors and listing alert sign-ups.

Activating a New Florida License

A Florida sales associate license is active only while it is registered under an employing broker. If you have passed the exam, the brokerage adds you through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and you can then practise. Remember the 45-hour post-licensing course, which must be completed before your first renewal or the license becomes null and void. Confirm your own dates with the DBPR.

What It Costs to Start

New agents are rightly wary of brokerages that charge for everything. Commission structure, fees and how leads are shared are covered in the confidential conversation, in writing, before you decide anything. You will also have the usual costs of the profession, such as association and MLS dues, which are the same wherever you hang your license.

Schedule a Confidential Conversation

Tell us your licence status, how long you have been licensed, the market you work, whether you want residential, commercial or business brokerage, and what you want from your next brokerage. Our broker reads every application personally and replies within one business day. Your inquiry is confidential and we never contact your current brokerage. Prefer to talk now? Call (786) 914-1017.

Questions Agents Ask

Does BreakThru accept new agents?
Yes. Newly licensed Florida sales associates are welcome and start on a structured path: Academy coursework, shadowing, supervised first transactions and a broker who reviews contracts before they go out. If you have passed the state exam but have not yet activated your license, we can explain how activation under a broker works.
Does BreakThru provide training?
Yes. The BreakThru Academy is an in-portal learning system with on-demand courses, lessons, quizzes and live classes, covering contracts, pricing, listing presentations, buyer consultations, the technology platform and specialist tracks. New agents follow a structured path; experienced agents take what they need. A broker is available for contract and negotiation questions on live deals.
I have not passed the exam yet. Can I still talk to you?
Yes. Many agents choose a brokerage while they are still in the pre-licensing course, so the license can be activated the week they pass. A conversation now costs nothing and tells you what to expect in your first months.
Will I get leads as a brand new agent?
Not on your first day, and a brokerage that promises otherwise is telling you what you want to hear. Website inquiries go to agents who have completed the core training and respond fast. New agents typically begin with rentals, open houses and listing alert follow-up, which are the quickest way to have real conversations, then move to buyer and seller inquiries.
