Referral Partnerships for Sports Agents and Advisors

The people an athlete asks first, and what a partnership with us means for them

When an athlete needs a house, the question rarely goes to a real estate website first. It goes to the agent, the business manager, the CPA, the trainer, the concierge company or the relocation coordinator. This page explains what a partnership with BreakThru Private Client Sports & Entertainment is, what it is not, and the Florida law that shapes it.

Who We Partner With

The partner network is built around the professionals who are already close to athletes, entertainers and executives, and who are trusted to recommend the next person to call. None of them sell real estate, which is the point: each one is better at their own work when the housing side of a client’s life is handled well by someone they can vouch for.

  • Sports agents and agency staff
  • Wealth managers, business managers and family offices
  • CPAs and tax advisors
  • Sports and entertainment attorneys
  • Concierge and lifestyle management companies
  • Relocation firms and club relocation coordinators
  • Trainers, performance staff and player-development staff
  • Luxury car dealerships and private aviation companies
  • Custom home builders and architects
  • Private banking and high-end mortgage lenders

What a Partnership Is

A partnership is a standing working relationship. Your clients get a named contact who answers the same business day, works under a confidentiality agreement from the first call and follows your lead on how involved you want to be. You get kept informed, to the extent the client allows, so you are never the last to know how things went. And when our clients ask us for the kind of professional you are, your name is one we can give them, alongside others, for the client to choose between.

What a Partnership Is Not

It is not a paid referral arrangement. Florida license law only lets a real estate brokerage pay referral compensation to licensed real estate brokers and sales associates, so BreakThru Realty does not pay referral fees to sports agents, managers, financial advisors, attorneys or any other unlicensed professional. Federal law also bars payments for referrals between settlement service providers, so no relationship with a mortgage lender, title company or closing agent involves any payment for sending business either way. It is not exclusive in either direction: clients choose their own professionals, and so do we. And it is not a marketing arrangement. We do not put a partner’s name or logo on our website or in our advertising without written permission, and we never share one client’s details with another partner.

Licensed Real Estate Agents Elsewhere

The one group that can be compensated for sending us a client is licensed real estate professionals. An agent or broker in another state, or elsewhere in Florida, whose athlete client is moving to South Florida can refer them to BreakThru Realty through the agent referral program, which sets out the terms in writing before any introduction. That program is separate from the partner network on this page, and it is only open to licensees.

Team and Club Staff

Relocation coordinators and player-development staff at a club help new arrivals settle every season, and some of them keep a short list of people to call. Every club has its own rules on outside businesses, and those rules come first. We do not approach players at facilities, games or team events, we do not offer club staff gifts or hospitality of any kind, and if a club prefers its staff not to recommend anyone at all, we respect that.

Builders, Lenders, Dealers and Aviation

Some partners are businesses our clients may buy from themselves: a custom home builder, a mortgage lender, a private aviation company, a car dealership. With them the rules are about disclosure and choice. If BreakThru Realty has any business relationship with a provider it introduces, the client is told in writing before deciding. For financing questions, clients should consult a mortgage lender directly and compare more than one. A client is never steered to a partner because of the partnership.

How an Introduction Works

Introductions follow the same short path every time, so partners know what their clients will experience and nothing depends on who happens to take the call. The client decides how much you hear and when, and that decision is written down at the start rather than guessed at later, so a partner is never put in the position of asking the client something the client assumed we would pass on.

  • You call or use the form on this page, with or without the client’s name
  • We confirm who has authority to give instructions and what you want to be told
  • A confidentiality agreement goes to the client or to you before details are shared
  • The client gets one named contact and a written brief within a business day
  • You hear back at the points the client has agreed, and at the close

What Partners Can Expect From Us

A partnership only works if the partner’s reputation is safe in our hands, so the commitments below are the ones we hold ourselves to with every introduction. They are the same whether the partner is a large agency or a single trainer who knows one athlete well.

  • A same-day response to every introduction on a business day
  • No contact with your client before you have made the introduction
  • No marketing that uses your name or your client’s without written permission
  • Honest advice to your client, including advice not to buy, sell or sign
  • Clear notice if a request falls outside what a real estate brokerage should do

Our Privacy Standard

A confidentiality agreement before the first conversation
Ask and a mutual non-disclosure agreement comes to you or your representative before any detail is shared, and it covers everyone at the brokerage who works on the file.
Your name stays out of our marketing
BreakThru Realty does not use a client’s name, likeness, team or transaction in its advertising, social media, website or press, before or after closing, unless the client asks for it in writing.
Showings by appointment with verified buyers only
When you sell, your home is shown only to buyers whose identity and proof of funds or pre-approval have been checked, by appointment, with personal items and photographs put away beforehand.
Address withheld from internet display where the MLS allows
A seller can ask for a listing’s address to be kept off consumer websites within the rules of the multiple listing service, and for interior photographs to leave out anything personal.
One point of contact
A single named contact at the brokerage runs the file, so your details are not passed around an office.
We work through your people
If you would rather we deal with your agent, manager, business manager, attorney or family office, that is the channel we use, and nothing is sent anywhere else.
Documents by secure link, wires confirmed by phone
Files are shared by secure link rather than as open email attachments, and wiring instructions are always confirmed by a phone call to a known number before any money moves.

Become a Partner

Tell us what you need, the timing, and how you would like to be contacted: directly, or through your agent, manager, business manager or attorney. You do not need to give a client’s name to start, and a confidentiality agreement can come before any detail is shared.

Questions We Are Asked

Is there a fee or a contract to join the partner network?
There is no fee in either direction. Partners sign a short letter covering confidentiality and how introductions are handled, so each side knows what to expect, and either side can end it at any time without notice.
Can BreakThru Realty thank me some other way, such as gifts or event tickets?
No. Florida license law treats valuable consideration the same as a fee, so gifts, tickets, travel or hospitality given in return for introductions are off the table as well. The honest answer is that the only reward in this partnership is a client who is glad you sent them to us.
Will you send your own clients to my firm?
When a client asks us for the kind of professional you are, we can include you among the names we give, and the client decides. We will not push clients toward a partner, and we tell the client in writing about any business relationship we have with a provider before they choose.
Does a partnership have to be exclusive?
No, in either direction. You remain free to recommend other brokerages and we remain free to recommend other professionals. Exclusivity would only make both of us less useful to clients, which is the opposite of what a partnership is for.
I am a licensed real estate agent in another state. How do I refer an athlete client?
Use the agent referral program rather than the partner network. It is written for licensees, sets out the referral terms in writing before the introduction, and keeps you informed until your client closes. You can reach it from the related links on this page.
