BreakThru Realty helps buyers find a home in the right location that needs work, then coordinates the architects, designers and licensed contractors who turn it into the home they wanted. The series documents that journey with real buyers, from the first showing to the day they move in. The first season is being cast now, so there are no episodes yet: this page explains the format and how to apply.

What the Series Is

Each project in the series follows one household through the whole journey: why the finished homes on the market did not work for them, the houses they considered instead, the one they chose, the design, the construction and the finished home. The appeal is that it is real. The buyers, the budget decisions, the surprises behind the walls and the professionals doing the work are all exactly who and what they are, in neighborhoods viewers can drive through.

Honest by Design

Nothing in the series is staged, and nothing is published before it has happened. There are no sample families, no invented budgets and no before-and-after images of homes that were not part of the program. That is why this page has no episodes on it yet. A project appears here only when a real buyer has taken part, has approved what is shown, and the work shown has actually been done.

Where It Will Be Shown

Finished projects are published on this site, each on its own page with the full story, and released as episodes and short clips on BreakThru Realty’s video and social channels. A single project produces a long-form episode and many shorter pieces along the way: the search, design decisions, construction updates and the reveal. Projects stay on the site permanently as a record of what was done and how.

Who Can Apply

The series is for buyers taking part in the program in the counties BreakThru Realty serves, at any size of project, from a refresh to a new build. First-time buyers, growing families, downsizers and buyers relocating to South Florida are all of interest, because the stories differ. What matters is a real plan to buy and improve a home, and being comfortable with a camera along for parts of it. Applying is not a commitment, and not every applicant can be included.

What Taking Part Involves

Filming is planned around the milestones that would happen anyway: tours, the Potential Check, design meetings, key days on site and the final walkthrough, with some footage captured by the homeowners and the project team themselves. Every participant signs a written release before anything is filmed and sees their episode before it is published. The home’s exact address is not published while it is under construction, and children appear only with their parents’ written consent.

The Same Service, On Camera or Off

Being in the series changes nothing about how the purchase or the project is handled, and declining changes nothing either. BreakThru Realty is a licensed Florida real estate brokerage. Design and construction are performed by licensed, insured professionals you choose, under your own agreements with them. The professionals on a featured project are chosen by the homeowner exactly as on any other project.

How Each Project Is Told

  1. The Dream. Who the buyers are, how they live and what they could not find in a finished house.
  2. The Search. The homes they toured, judged on location, lot and structure, and what each would have needed.
  3. The Find. The home they chose, why, and what the Potential Check turned up before they committed.
  4. The Vision. The first concepts: what the house could become, on paper and in images.
  5. The Design. Drawings, layouts, materials and the decisions and trade-offs behind them.
  6. The Budget. The scope, the bids and the choices made to keep the total where it needed to be.
  7. Demo Day. What came out, and what the walls were hiding.
  8. The Build. Construction milestone by milestone, including the problems and how they were solved.
  9. The Reveal. The finished home, before and after, and the day the owners walk in.

Where can I watch the series?
The first season is being cast now, so there are no episodes yet. When projects are complete they are published on this page and on BreakThru Realty’s video and social channels.
How do I apply to be featured?
Use the application on this page. It asks where you want to live, the kind of project you have in mind and your timing. An agent contacts every applicant, and those who fit the season’s projects are invited to talk further.
Do I have to take part in the series to use the program?
No. The series is optional and by application. Most of what the program does, from the search to the Potential Check to coordinating your team, happens the same way for buyers who are never filmed.
Will my address or personal details be shown?
Only what you approve in a written release. The exact address is not published while the home is under construction, and you review your episode before it is released.
Does being featured change what my project costs?
Your project is priced by the contractors you choose, through their written bids, in the same way as any other project. Being featured does not come with a promise of free or discounted work.
