Living in Lake Park
The Town of Lake Park sits on the west shore of the Lake Worth Lagoon in northern Palm Beach County, with Riviera Beach to the south, North Palm Beach to the north and Palm Beach Gardens to the west. It began in the 1920s as Kelsey City, and the MLS still files most of its houses under that original plat, on a grid of streets named for trees and plants such as Foresteria, Cypress, Date Palm, Bayberry, Ilex and Greenbriar Drives. Park Avenue is the small downtown, Federal Highway runs north and south through the town, and Northlake Boulevard, Old Dixie Highway and Congress Avenue carry the shops, offices and light industry on its north and west sides. On the water, Lake Shore Drive runs past Kelsey Park, with walking paths, a playground and public tennis and pickleball courts kept by the town, and past the town's Lake Park Harbor Marina. Singer Island and its beaches lie across the lagoon, reached over the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach; Interstate 95 is a few minutes west and Palm Beach International Airport about twenty minutes south. Recent listings name Lake Park Elementary, Howell L. Watkins Middle and Palm Beach Gardens High; assignments change, so confirm the school for the exact address.
Nautilus 220 and the Lake Shore Drive Condominiums
Most homes for sale in Lake Park are condominiums in a single new building. Nautilus 220, at 220 Lake Shore Drive beside the Lake Park Harbor Marina, was completed in 2025 as north and south buildings above a parking garage, and its residences run from one bedroom units to three bedroom corners and the Sky Suites near the top, many facing east across the Intracoastal to Singer Island, Peanut Island and the ocean beyond. Listings describe a private marina, an outdoor amenity deck of about an acre with a resort pool, a rooftop lap pool, fitness and wellness rooms, a theater, a golf and sports simulator, restaurants on the ground floor, concierge and valet service, and beach access with parking on Singer Island. Because the building is new, resales compete with the developer's remaining units, and a few resales come with a tenant in place. The association fee is high for Lake Park because it carries that staff and those amenities, so compare the fee and what it covers for the exact unit, ask how a marina slip is assigned and what it costs, and read the leasing and pet rules. Lake Harbour Towers, from the early 1970s at 301 and 801 Lake Shore Drive beside Kelsey Park, is the older waterfront choice, with Intracoastal views at the lower end of the market; there the milestone inspection, the reserve study and any assessment weigh as much as the view.
The Lagoon, the Marina and the Inlet
The houses of Lake Park sit inland on the Kelsey City grid, so the town's waterfront belongs to Lake Shore Drive, where the Lake Park Harbor Marina, the private marina at Nautilus 220 and the seawall along Kelsey Park face the Intracoastal Waterway. From those docks the Lake Worth Inlet, also called the Palm Beach Inlet, is a short run south past Peanut Island, and the route passes under the Blue Heron Bridge, so check its clearance against the height of your boat even where a listing records no fixed bridge. The inlet is also the shipping channel of the Port of Palm Beach, which means current, wake and freighter traffic at its mouth. For a residence sold with a slip, or in a building that offers slips, confirm whether the slip is deeded, assigned or rented, the length and beam it takes, the depth at low tide and the cost of power and water on the pier. For any unit on the water, ask for the flood zone and the building's insurance, because the Lake Shore Drive buildings sit in a coastal flood zone while most houses inland record zone X.
Neighborhoods
Lake Park is too small for neighborhood pages of its own, so buyers think of it in three parts. The waterfront along Lake Shore Drive holds the condominiums: Nautilus 220 beside the town marina and the Lake Harbour Towers buildings beside Kelsey Park. West of Federal Highway, the old Kelsey City grid holds the houses, on streets named for trees and plants such as Foresteria, Cypress, Bayberry, Date Palm, Ilex, Evergreen, Laurel, Hawthorne and Greenbriar Drives and on numbered streets running toward Old Dixie Highway, with the shops and town buildings of Park Avenue in the middle. A few houses date from the Kelsey City years of the 1920s and most from the 1950s, and these streets have no homeowners association, so the town code decides what an owner may add. On the north and west edges, Northlake Boulevard, Old Dixie Highway and Congress Avenue carry offices, shops and light industry, and small income buildings stand among the houses. The condo, waterfront, house, luxury and investment pages below cut the town the way buyers search it.
Selling a Home in Lake Park
BreakThru Realty works with hundreds of prequalified buyers searching for properties. Before your Lake Park home is listed, a broker checks it against the requirements those buyers have given us, from a residence with a marina view at Nautilus 220 to a Kelsey City house with a yard or a small income building near Park Avenue, and reaches out to the buyers it fits; your home may be the one a buyer is waiting to find. If no buyer on file fits, the plan turns to the rest of the market through the MLS listing that reaches cooperating agents across Palm Beach County, priced from the closed sales that match your home. Either way, the strategy is built around your objectives: when you need to move, the price you need to clear and what comes next. Pricing here is local. A Nautilus 220 residence competes first with the other units for sale in the same building, the developer's remaining inventory among them, so its floor, exposure, view, slip rights and furnishings decide where it sits; a Lake Harbour Towers unit is priced from its own building's sales; and a Kelsey City house is compared by condition, lot and permits with sales on the same streets. Request Your Property Valuation for a first number from matched closed sales, ask for a full comparative market analysis when you are ready to list, or request a cash offer if a fast, as is sale suits you better.
Investing in Lake Park
Investors in Lake Park usually buy one of three things. The first is a residence at Nautilus 220 to lease, where tenants pay for the amenities and the marina and where current listings are offered for a year, for six months or furnished for the season; the association decides the minimum term and how often a unit may be leased each year, and one listing describes leasing once a year, so read the documents for the unit before you count on income. The second is a small income building on the Kelsey City grid, such as a duplex or a fourplex with a cottage, where the rent roll, the permits for every unit, the separate meters and the insurance set the return. The third is an older house bought to renovate or to hold, priced against renovated sales on the same streets; near Kelsey Park, some listings describe mixed use zoning, which is worth confirming with the town before you plan around it. Confirm the town's rules on short stays for the address as well. Get Your Investment Property Analysis: we model the rent from current Lake Park leases and the resale from matched closed sales before you offer.

Lake Park Real Estate FAQ
- Where is Lake Park, Florida?
- Lake Park is a town in northern Palm Beach County on the west shore of the Lake Worth Lagoon, the stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway across from Singer Island. Riviera Beach lies to the south, North Palm Beach to the north and Palm Beach Gardens to the west, Federal Highway runs through the town, Interstate 95 is a few minutes west, and Palm Beach International Airport is about twenty minutes south.
- How much does a home in Lake Park cost?
- It depends on which of the town's two markets you are in. Kelsey City houses west of Federal Highway and units at Lake Harbour Towers sit at the lower and middle end, while residences at Nautilus 220 hold most of the listings above the luxury threshold, which pulls the town's condo median well above its house median. For current figures, use the market table on this page, which the MLS refreshes daily with median asking and sold prices for houses and condos.
- What is Nautilus 220?
- Nautilus 220 is the new condominium at 220 Lake Shore Drive in Lake Park, completed in 2025 beside the town marina on the Intracoastal. Listings describe north and south buildings with a private marina, resort and rooftop pools, fitness and wellness rooms, restaurants, concierge and valet service, and beach access on Singer Island. Its fees are high for the town, so compare what they cover, how slips are assigned and the leasing and pet rules for the exact unit before you offer.
- Can I keep a boat in Lake Park?
- Yes, at a marina rather than behind a house. The town's Lake Park Harbor Marina and the private marina at Nautilus 220 sit on the Intracoastal on Lake Shore Drive, and the Lake Worth Inlet is a short run south past Peanut Island, under the Blue Heron Bridge. Before you buy, we confirm whether a slip is deeded, assigned or rented, the length and beam it takes, the depth at low tide and the bridge clearance on the route for your boat.
- Is every Lake Park listing inside the Town of Lake Park?
- Yes, in the listings we checked: every home filed under Lake Park for sale, for rent and sold in the last six months stands inside the town boundary. Lake Park borders North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Riviera Beach, so a home a few streets away can be in another municipality with different taxes, permits and rules. We confirm the municipality on the tax record for every home before we compare prices.
- What is my Lake Park home worth?
- Request a free valuation and we build it from the closed sales that truly match your home: the same building, floor, exposure and slip arrangement for a condominium, or the same streets, lot size and condition for a Kelsey City house, adjusted for renovation and for the building's reserves and inspection position. At Nautilus 220 we also weigh the units still for sale in the building. When you are deciding, ask for a full comparative market analysis, and if speed matters more than price, request a cash offer.
- Do you already have buyers looking for homes in Lake Park?
- BreakThru Realty works with hundreds of prequalified buyers searching for properties. We keep each buyer's requirements on file: the neighborhoods, the price range, the property type and the features they are waiting for. Whether one of them fits your home is something a licensed broker checks for your property specifically, before the call. Your home may be the one a buyer is waiting to find; we confirm it before we call it a match, and a potential match is a conversation, not an offer.
