Living in Palm Beach Shores
The Town of Palm Beach Shores holds the southern tip of Singer Island, with the Atlantic Ocean on the east, the Lake Worth Inlet, which most people call the Palm Beach Inlet, on the south, the Lake Worth Lagoon on the west and the Riviera Beach part of the island to the north. It is its own municipality, small enough to cross on foot: Ocean Avenue runs along the beach, Inlet Way follows the inlet, Lake Drive follows the lagoon, and short lanes such as Cascade, Sandal, Edwards, Blossom, Claremont and Tacoma Lanes fill the middle. Listings point to the town's own police and fire stations, a beach set aside for residents and utility lines run underground; confirm the current rules for the town beach with the town itself. Sailfish Marina and its restaurant sit on Lake Drive, a walkway along the inlet leads to the sand, Peanut Island lies across the water, and the snorkeling at Phil Foster Park is a short drive away beside the Blue Heron Bridge to Riviera Beach. Ships bound for the Port of Palm Beach pass close along the inlet. Recent listings name Lincoln Elementary, John F. Kennedy Middle and William T. Dwyer High; assignments change, so confirm the school for the exact address.
Oceanfront and Inlet Condominiums
Most homes for sale in Palm Beach Shores are condominiums, and the street a building stands on decides most of what it is. On Ocean Avenue, Dolce Vita, completed in 2009, sits directly on the sand with a gated entry and a staffed lobby; the Mayan Towers buildings from 1969 and the early 1970s, one of them also filed as the Atrium, hold compact two bedroom units with deeded beach access at the lower end of the market; and 123 Ocean is a new oceanfront building sold before completion, with deliveries listed for 2027 and 2028. Along Inlet Way, the buildings look over the inlet and the ocean at once: Ocean Eighteen, a boutique building from 2017 at the ocean end, the Inlet Beach Club East and West from 1989, Icon at Palm Beach Shores from 2024, Inlet Pointe from 2006, and smaller older buildings such as Whispering Waters, Seascape and the Sun Harbor cooperative. The Ocean Avenue buildings record the coastal VE flood zone on their beach side, so for every building read the milestone inspection report, the structural integrity reserve study, the reserves, any assessment, the insurance, the leasing and pet rules and how the association handles sea turtle lighting. For the building under construction, read the deposit schedule, the completion terms and the condominium documents before you sign.
HAVN, Sailfish Marina and the Inlet
Few towns put a boat this close to the ocean. HAVN Residences & Yacht Club, on Lake Drive facing the lagoon, is a group of small waterfront buildings from 2006 to 2008 that listings describe as thirty six residences in five three story buildings beside a marina, where owners have priority access to slips under arrangements made separately from the condominium; several of its units have been remodeled. Sailfish Marina, nearby on Lake Drive, is the town's long established sportfishing marina, with a restaurant on the water. From either one the inlet opens to the Atlantic within minutes and with no bridge on the way out, and Peanut Island sits just across the channel. The inlet is also the shipping lane of the Port of Palm Beach, so expect current, wake and freighter traffic at its mouth. For any slip, confirm whether it is deeded, assigned or leased, the length and beam it takes, the depth at low tide and the yearly cost, and at HAVN read how the marina terms relate to the condominium documents.
Neighborhoods
Palm Beach Shores is too small for neighborhood pages, so buyers shop it by street. Ocean Avenue is the beach side, with Dolce Vita, the Mayan Towers buildings, the new 123 Ocean and older buildings on the sand such as the Palm Beach Shores Apartments. Inlet Way runs along the inlet, from Ocean Eighteen and the Inlet Beach Club at the ocean end past Icon, Inlet Pointe and smaller buildings toward the lagoon. Lake Drive is the lagoon side, with HAVN and Sailfish Marina. In between, Cascade, Sandal, Edwards, Blossom, Claremont, Linda and Tacoma Lanes and Bamboo Road hold the houses: single story homes from the 1950s, some renovated, beside new two story houses built since 2024, and a few small income buildings. The condo, oceanfront, waterfront, house, luxury and investment pages below cut the town the way buyers search it, and the Singer Island hub covers the rest of the island to the north.
Selling a Home in Palm Beach Shores
BreakThru Realty works with hundreds of prequalified buyers searching for properties. Before your Palm Beach Shores home is listed, a broker checks it against the requirements those buyers have given us, from a unit on the sand on Ocean Avenue or a residence near a slip at HAVN to a house on one of the lanes, and reaches out to the buyers it fits; your home may be the one a buyer is waiting to find. If no buyer on file fits, the plan turns to the rest of the market through the MLS listing that reaches cooperating agents, priced from the closed sales in your building or on your street. Either way, the strategy follows your objectives: your timing, the price you need and your next move. Pricing here turns on the building and the water. An oceanfront unit at Dolce Vita, an inlet residence at Ocean Eighteen and a unit at the Mayan Towers trade in different ranges on the same beach, a HAVN residence is priced with its marina access, and a house is priced on its lot, its flood zone, its condition and whether a buyer will keep it or build new. Request Your Property Valuation for a first number from matched closed sales, ask for a full comparative market analysis when you are ready to list, or request a cash offer if a fast, as is sale suits you better; for a residence at the top of the market, Request a Private Consultation.
Investing in Palm Beach Shores
Investors in Palm Beach Shores usually buy one of three things. The first is a condominium leased furnished for the winter, where the building's minimum term, its limit on leases each year and any waiting period after purchase decide whether a unit can be let at all; several current rentals on Ocean Avenue are offered for the season only, one of them for three months or more. The second is a small income building, such as the remodeled triplex on Linda Lane across from the ocean or the ten unit building on Inlet Way with a hotel license, where the rent roll, the license, the permits for every unit and the insurance set the return. The third is an older house on one of the lanes bought to renovate or replace, priced against the new houses built nearby and subject to the flood elevation and the town's permits. Confirm the town's rules on short stays for the address before you plan around them. Palm Beach Shores Real Estate FAQ
- Where is Palm Beach Shores, Florida?
- Palm Beach Shores is a town in Palm Beach County at the south tip of Singer Island, on the north side of the Palm Beach Inlet across from the island of Palm Beach. The Atlantic is on its east side and the Lake Worth Lagoon on its west, the Riviera Beach part of Singer Island lies to the north, and the Blue Heron Bridge connects the island to the mainland. Downtown West Palm Beach and Palm Beach International Airport are each a short drive south.
- Is Palm Beach Shores part of Singer Island or Riviera Beach?
- It is on Singer Island but it is not part of Riviera Beach: Palm Beach Shores is its own town, with its own government, and the MLS files its listings under the Palm Beach Shores name. Every home we checked under that name stands inside the town boundary. The rest of the island is in Riviera Beach, with listings filed as Singer Island or Riviera Beach, so the Singer Island hub covers those towers. Taxes, permits and rental rules follow the town on the tax record.
- How much does a home in Palm Beach Shores cost?
- Older condominium units such as those in the Mayan Towers buildings are the most attainable way in, units at HAVN, Inlet Pointe and the Inlet Beach Club sit in the middle, and residences at Dolce Vita, Ocean Eighteen and the new 123 Ocean, along with the new houses on the lanes, carry the highest prices. For current figures, use the market table on this page, which the MLS refreshes daily with median asking and sold prices for houses and condos.
- Can I keep a boat in Palm Beach Shores?
- Yes. HAVN Residences & Yacht Club on Lake Drive sits beside a marina where owners have priority access to slips, Sailfish Marina is nearby on the same street, and from either one the Palm Beach Inlet opens to the ocean within minutes with no bridge in the way. Before you buy, we confirm whether a slip is deeded, assigned or leased, the length and beam it takes, the depth at low tide and what it costs each year for the boat you keep.
- What should I check before buying an oceanfront condo in Palm Beach Shores?
- Start with the building, because most stand on the sand or on the inlet in a coastal flood zone. Read the milestone inspection report, the structural integrity reserve study, the reserves and any assessment, and get an insurance quote for the unit. Then check the leasing rules and any waiting period, the pet rules, which allow none in some buildings, the parking assignment, deeded beach access and the sea turtle lighting rules. For 123 Ocean, read the deposit and completion terms as well.
- What is my Palm Beach Shores home worth?
- Request a free valuation and we build it from the closed sales that match your home: the same building, floor and exposure for a condominium, with its view of the ocean, the inlet or the lagoon and any slip arrangement, or the same lanes, lot, flood zone and condition for a house, adjusted for renovation and for the building's reserves and inspection position. A town median means little where buildings trade far apart. When you are deciding, ask for a full comparative market analysis; if speed matters more, request a cash offer.
- Do you already have buyers looking for homes in Palm Beach Shores?
- BreakThru Realty works with hundreds of prequalified buyers searching for properties. We keep each buyer's requirements on file: the neighborhoods, the price range, the property type and the features they are waiting for. Whether one of them fits your home is something a licensed broker checks for your property specifically, before the call. Your home may be the one a buyer is waiting to find; we confirm it before we call it a match, and a potential match is a conversation, not an offer.
