Arch Creek takes its name from the natural limestone bridge that once carried the old military road across the creek; the bridge fell in 1973, and the site is now Arch Creek Park by Biscayne Boulevard at NE 135th Street. In the listings the name covers two areas. East of the boulevard, Arch Creek East holds townhouse communities such as Parkview Villas, built in the late 2010s beside the Arch Creek East Environmental Preserve, and condominium buildings from the early 1970s on NE 135th Street, such as Dorset House and Waterside Towers, with canal and Intracoastal views and boat access. West of the boulevard, the streets around NE 128th Street hold 1940s houses, duplexes on multifamily zoning and garden condominiums such as Arch Creek Landing.
