Pet-friendly rentals in Hollywood are mostly houses in Hollywood Hills, Driftwood, Emerald Hills and Hollywood Little Ranches, where the yards make sense for a dog and individual owners decide with a deposit or monthly pet rent. On Hollywood Beach the association rules govern: many buildings along the Broadwalk and on South Ocean Drive cap pets by weight or number, and some ban them regardless of what the owner would allow, while the 55+ buildings in Hillcrest set their own limits. Carriage Hills and the other villa associations have written pet policies you can ask for in advance. In Hollywood, have the pet approved in writing by the owner and by the association before you move, and bring vaccination records and a photo.
