Boaters are the main tenants, drawn by frontage that costs meaningfully less than the equivalent street in Fort Lauderdale, along with families who want a quiet dead-end street and a view. Canal homes in Hollywood lease annually and unfurnished as a rule and usually have no association, so the owner's approval is the only one. Check the seawall, ask about depth and any fixed bridge between the canal and the inlet, and put in the lease who looks after the pool and the yard, since most canal lots come with both.
