Annual tenants who want the beach usually land on the Galt, where many units are owned by people who live out of state and lease through managers. Each Fort Lauderdale building runs its own approval, and the older co-ops on the Galt can be the slowest, so start the application the day you agree on terms. Confirm whether the association allows pets, what the minimum lease term is and whether the unit comes with a deeded parking space, because street parking on A1A is not an option.
