Margate Shores is a neighborhood of single story houses from the late sixties and early seventies in the north of the city, along NW 20th Street and the streets around it, with a fourth addition built around 1972. The houses run larger than in the older plats, with four and five bedrooms, three baths in some, split bedroom plans and corner lots with room for a pool, and the listings carry no mandatory association. At least one house here was built with a poured concrete roof and metal studs rather than wood trusses, so ask the seller how a house was built. Check the roof, the windows, the electrical panel and the permits for any later work before you offer.
