Renting in Hypoluxo
Renters in Hypoluxo mostly lease inside the gated communities on the Intracoastal, and Yacht Club on the Intracoastal supplies most of them: two bedroom condominiums and townhouses around the marina, offered furnished for the season or unfurnished by the year. The townhome communities, Ocean Cay, Las Brisas, Barefoot Cove and Villagio del Mar, and the villas at Lakeshore Colony lease less often, and some set long minimum terms or a waiting period for new owners. Every lease passes the association as well as the owner, so start early if you need a winter in Hypoluxo.
Houses, Condos and Apartments
Rentals in Hypoluxo range from studio apartments to furnished estate homes. The market table on this page splits the median rent between houses and townhomes on one side and condos and apartments on the other, because the two markets price very differently, and the pages below narrow the search by home type, monthly rent, furnishing, pets and lease length.
How Renting With BreakThru Works
Tell us your budget, move-in date and must-haves, and a licensed rental agent builds a shortlist, schedules tours and helps you apply with a complete file. In most South Florida rentals the landlord pays the agent commission, so our help costs a renter nothing.
Own a Home in Hypoluxo?
A Hypoluxo landlord works inside an association. Yacht Club on the Intracoastal, Lakeshore Colony and the townhome communities each set the minimum lease term, how often a unit may be leased, the tenant application and the rules on pets and parking, and one Las Brisas listing describes a two year hold before a new owner may lease at all. Within those rules, the choice is a furnished winter lease or an annual tenant. We price your home from live Hypoluxo rents and the leases that closed in the same community, and screen every tenant before a showing. Request a Rental Analysis to see both options.
Renting in Hypoluxo: What to Know Before You Apply
Where renters live
Renters in Hypoluxo lease inside gated communities on the Intracoastal, and most of what is offered at any one time is at Yacht Club on the Intracoastal, where two bedroom condominiums and townhouses sit around a private marina with pools, a clubhouse and tennis. The townhome communities, Ocean Cay, Las Brisas, Barefoot Cove and Villagio del Mar, and the villas and condominium at Lakeshore Colony lease less often and sometimes only by the year. The town has almost no houses to rent. For a house with a yard or a dock, the Lantana and Boynton Beach rental pages cover the streets nearby.
Annual or seasonal
Hypoluxo rentals follow the winter. Furnished condominiums at Yacht Club on the Intracoastal lease for the season, roughly November to April, and owners often ask for a minimum of several months, while some of the same units are offered unfurnished by the year to tenants who want to stay. The townhome communities lean toward annual leases, and a few set long minimum terms for every tenant. A winter tenant should start looking by late summer, and a year round tenant has the widest choice in spring and early summer in Hypoluxo.
What to have ready
A Hypoluxo rental application runs through two parties, the owner and the association, so have the file ready before the showing: photo identification, proof of income or assets, landlord references and consent to credit and background checks, plus the association's own application and fee. Name every occupant, every vehicle and any pet with its breed and size, because the communities limit pets and assign parking. Owners of winter rentals often live elsewhere, so a complete packet sent with the offer saves days on a Hypoluxo lease.
Association approval
Every rental in Hypoluxo needs the association's approval as well as the owner's. Each community runs its own tenant application with its own fee, sets the minimum lease term and may limit how often a unit is leased in a year; at least one requires owners to hold a home for some time before leasing it at all. Approval can take from a few days to several weeks, longer in summer when boards meet less often, and the move in date follows it. Ask the owner for the association rules before you apply for a Hypoluxo rental.
Deposits and move-in costs
Move in costs on a Hypoluxo rental run above the first month's rent. An annual lease usually asks for first and last month and a security deposit, while a furnished seasonal lease often asks for much of the season in advance and a deposit sized to the furnishings. A lease of six months or less carries the taxes Florida applies to short rentals, which one Hypoluxo listing passes to the tenant in plain terms. The association adds its application fee. Florida law sets how a deposit must be held and returned, and the lease should say who pays electricity and any internet the association does not cover.

Hypoluxo Rentals FAQ
- How much is rent in Hypoluxo?
- The median asking rent in Hypoluxo is $2,350 a month across 27 active rentals in BeachesMLS. Houses and townhomes ask a median $2,625 and condos and apartments $2,300. Leases signed in the last 90 days closed at a median $2,950 for houses and townhomes and $2,125 for condos and apartments. These figures update daily on this page.
- Do I pay a fee to rent a home in Hypoluxo through BreakThru Realty?
- In most South Florida rentals the landlord pays the agent commission, so working with a BreakThru rental agent costs a renter nothing. If a specific listing works differently, we tell you before you tour it.
- What do I need to apply for a rental in Hypoluxo?
- Most landlords ask for a government-issued photo ID, recent pay stubs or an offer letter showing income of roughly three times the monthly rent, recent bank statements, a credit report and rental references. Having these ready before you tour lets you apply the same day.
- How long does rental approval take in Hypoluxo?
- Landlord approval usually takes one to three business days. If the home is in a condo or HOA community, which is common in Hypoluxo, the association runs its own application and approval, and that can take two to four weeks in many buildings. We start the association paperwork the moment you are accepted.
- Can I rent a pet-friendly home in Hypoluxo?
- Yes. The pet-friendly page lists every current Hypoluxo rental whose listing says pets are allowed. Most still set limits, such as breed or size restrictions, a maximum number of pets and a pet fee or deposit, and condo associations often add rules of their own, so we confirm the policy for your pet before you apply.
- Are there seasonal rentals in Hypoluxo?
- Yes. Furnished homes and condos in Hypoluxo are let by the month or the season, with the strongest demand from January through April. Seasonal rents run higher than annual leases and the best winter rentals book months ahead, so start early; the seasonal and furnished pages show what is available now.
