Every rental in Highland Beach is on the water in one sense, and the choice is between the ocean and the Intracoastal. An oceanfront unit gives the beach below the balcony and the sunrise; a unit on the waterway gives the sunset over the mainland, the boats passing and often a lower rent, and the beach is still across A1A through deeded access or a private beach club. Townhouses and houses on Bel Lido add a seawall and a dock. The lease should say how a tenant may use the beach club, the dock or a marina slip, and what the owner expects if a storm is forecast while the Highland Beach home is occupied.
