Oakland Hills is a neighborhood of single story houses built between 1974 and 1979 in south Margate, east of State Road 7, on streets such as SW 49th Terrace, SW 50th Avenue and SW 54th Avenue. Homes are concrete block, most with three bedrooms and two baths, often a one car garage and a split floor plan, and a number of lots back onto a lake or a canal, some on quiet cul de sacs.
