The Site

The W is planned for 20 North Ocean Boulevard, the oceanfront block where Atlantic Boulevard reaches the beach, with about 475 feet of frontage on the sand according to the project tracker. BH Group puts the site at 3.7 acres; Florida YIMBY calls it four. The developer describes the beach club, the 60,000 square foot WET pool deck and the suites and residences as facing the ocean, and its disclaimer adds that it promises no specific view, so the floor and the position of any unit you consider are checked against the site plan before you reserve.

The Pier and the Beachfront District

The Pompano Beach pier, rebuilt and reopened in recent years, stands at the east end of Atlantic Boulevard, a short walk from the W site, with restaurants, a beachfront park and the public beach around it. The district was rebuilt by the city over the last decade, which is why several new oceanfront condominiums stand near the pier today. Boats, the Inlet and the Intracoastal

Pompano Beach is a boating town. The Hillsboro Inlet at the north end of the city connects the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic, and the Intracoastal runs a block or two behind the beach, so the developer describes Intracoastal views from the west side of the suites and residences. Getting Here

Pompano Beach sits on the Broward County coast between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is the nearest major airport, to the south; Palm Beach International is to the north, and Boca Raton Airport serves private aviation nearby. We do not quote drive times, because they depend on the hour; we drive the routes with you on your first visit.

What Oceanfront Owners Ask

Three things, in every oceanfront building we work in. Insurance: an oceanfront condominium's master policy and windstorm cover are the largest line in the budget, and the developer's estimated budget shows the first year's figure. Salt and sand: exterior maintenance and reserves run higher on the ocean, and Florida now requires structural reserves to be funded, which the estimated budget should reflect. Storms: a staffed hotel building prepares itself, which is a point in the W's favor for an absent owner, but your contents cover and your own hurricane plan are still yours. We read the estimated budget with you with these three lines marked.

The tower had not broken ground as of October 2026, so the beach, the pier and the district are the parts of this purchase you can see today.
