In Gables Estates many lots measure an acre or more on deep-water canals or the bay itself, and boat owners on Arvida Drive check draft before floor plans. The Islands of Cocoplum sit on deep canals, some Gables by the Sea lots on streets such as Lugo Avenue reach the bay with no fixed bridge in the way, and Kings Bay keeps a private marina and boat ramp. Along the Coral Gables Waterway the clearance question is the opposite one, since bridges cap what can pass. Verify dock and seawall permits, the depth at low tide and who maintains the seawall before you offer.
