Indian River Plantation is a resort community on the Martin County end of Hutchinson Island, close to Stuart, built around the Hutchinson Island Marriott, its marina and the Ocean Club golf course. Its homes are mostly low-rise condominium villas from the late 1970s to the early 1990s in associations such as Plantation Club Villas, Beachwalk, Fairway Villas, Resort Villas, Riverwood, Riverbend and Ocean House, some on the golf course, some on the river and some a short walk from the beach.
