What is the Dezervator?

A patented car elevator, named for Dezer Development, that carries a car and its driver from the street to a garage inside the residence in one move. It serves every residence at Bentley Residences.

Do I have to get out of my car to use the Dezervator?

No. Dezeen describes the car's RFID sticker being scanned on arrival, lighting guiding you to the lift, and the car staying occupied until it reaches your garage.

How many cars can I park at Bentley Residences?

Three or four in a residence garage, depending on the plan, and up to seven in a penthouse, according to the developer.

Where else does Dezer Development use a car elevator?

At Porsche Design Tower, 18555 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, where the system first appeared, according to Florida YIMBY. Its listings and recent sales are on our Porsche Design Tower page.

Can I charge an electric car in my garage at Bentley Residences?

Bentley Motors lists electric car charging as an optional amenity. The contract says what is installed and what it costs, and we confirm it with you before you sign.

How a Ride Works

Dezeen describes the sequence. An RFID sticker on the car is scanned on arrival, and lighting guides the driver to the right lift; there is no button to press and no need to leave the car. A hydraulic system secures the car by its tires and places it on a robotic shuttle that carries it to the correct floor. The lower part of the shaft is glass, so the ride passes in view of the shared spaces.

Where You Arrive

The lift delivers the car to a private garage for three or four cars inside the residence, up to seven in a penthouse, separated from the living room by glass. The video follows one ride from the driver's seat to that glass wall.

A car elevator is a building system the association maintains. Before you sign, we ask for these, and we recommend every buyer does:

The service contract and the maintenance line in the estimated budget
What happens when a lift is out of service, and how you reach your residence then
How guests, valet and deliveries reach a residence
The size and weight limits for the lifts and the garage
Whether electric car charging is installed or optional; Bentley Motors lists it as optional
